Telephony Available via Broadband

Telephony: Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) and voice over broadband (VOBB) are general terms for a family of transmission technologies for delivery of voice communications over the Internet. This Internet telephony can provide the same voice, fax, and voice messaging applications that are available from telephone service providers, but sometimes at a fraction of the costs, or at no cost at all.

VOIP applications are actually replacing conventional telephone systems for business and professional use, as well as home use. These systems are usually substantially less expensive than conventional telephone systems. A local company, Rockbridge Global Village (RGV) provides this high quality VOIP for businesses and residences.
