Equipment and Software RFI

Responses are being evaluated and bid documents for the purchase of network equipment and software are expected to be released in March.

Construction and Materials

The bid period has closed for the following, bids are currently being evaluated and awards will be announced as soon as possible:

  • the construction of approximately 90 miles of backbone conduit and fiber as well as drop fiber to 45 Community Anchor Institutions in Rockbridge County, the City of Lexington, and the City of Buena Vista.
  • construction of network cabinet sites throughout Rockbridge County,
  • the purchase of network equipment cabinets,
  • the purchase of single mode fiber optic cable with various fiber counts,
  • the purchase of FuturePath conduit,
